Violet V. Kosmicki, 96 of Grant, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2019, at Golden Ours Convalescent Home in Grant.
Violet was born May 13, 1922, in Grant to Francis and Jesse (Brown) Hastings she was one of ten children.
She attended Perkins County Schools and graduated in May 1940. That same year in October she married Adolph (Bert) Kosmicki and made their home southeast of Grant. There they raised three children Paul, Gladys, and Michael.
Violet worked for Perkins County Health Services for 25 years before retiring in the early 90s as a dietician.
Following Bert's death, Violet started traveling with her "sister" Gerry and her husband George and good friend Vi Tjaden all across this great nation visiting the lower 48 states, parts of Europe and Mexico.
Violet is preceded in death by her husband and children.
Violet was an avid reader in lieu of flowers a donation can be made in her name to the Hastings Memorial Library in Grant. Condolences may be shared at bullocklongfuneralhome.com.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Grant with Father Thomas Bush as celebrant. Burial will be in the Grant Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Bullock-Long Funeral Home in Grant. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Grant.
