September Jolene Patten, 32, of Venango, NE, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, at her home in Venango.
September was born February 27, 1989, in Denver, CO, to Darrell and Shirlee (Garrett) Patten as the 2nd of four children. She graduated from Perkins County High School with the class of 2008.
After graduation, she went on and received her CNA license and worked with the geriatric population. September loved the elderly people in her care. She worked at Regent Park Nursing Home and Rehab in Holyoke, CO.
September's unique name was chosen for the month that her parents met and fell in love. She was the apple of her daddy's eye, and she always knew how to use that to her advantage to get out of trouble.
She loved spending time with her family and friends but most importantly with her poodle, Lambchop. September also loved to fish with her nieces, Ariel and Ali. She loved to listen to music, work on her car and play on her phone. September was also the family 'weatherperson' as she could invariably be depended upon to know and transmit the day's forecast to her loved ones.
September was preceded in death by her grandpa Robert Patten; grandma JoAnn Garrett; great-grandma Mary Garrett; and aunts, Michelle Anderson and Alicia Kenner.
September leaves behind her mom and dad, brothers, Joshua Patten, Garrett (Chria) Patten, Darrell Patten, Jr.; six nieces and nephews; grandpa, Dale Garrett; grandma, Bernice Patten; along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
A memorial has been established in September's memory for later designation. Condolences may be shared at bullocklongfuneralhome.com.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 10:30 am at the Julesburg Christian Church, with Pastor Alan Harris officiating. Inurnment will be in the Venango Cemetery at a later date.
