Scott Brian Odvarka

Scott Brian Odvarka of Lincoln, NE was born on December 28,1954 in Schuyler, NE. Scott was the youngest child of Dr. Robert C. and Arlene M. (Fayman) Odvarka of Clarkson, NE. He graduated from Clarkson High School in 1973 and went on to study at Northeast Community College. After college Scott moved to Lincoln where he made his home. Scott married Stephanie Kucera of Grant, NE in Lincoln on August 9, 1986 where they resided until his passing on May 23, 2017.

Scott is survived by his wife Stephanie; grandchildren Aubrie Howard and Zachary Killin; sister Sandie and husband Keith Weeder of Aurora, CO. His nephews, Jeff and wife Lisa Weeder, Addison and Carsten of Parker, CO, Greg and wife Danelle Weeder, Olivia and Lauryn of Elkhorn, NE and niece Erin and husband Zach Crowe, Alex and Jordan of Aurora, CO. Aunts, Daphne Fayman of Clarkson, NE and Maidy Urbanek of Omaha, NE and many cousins. Mother-in-law Pat Schroeder of Grant, NE; brother-in-law George and wife Kwei Kucera of North Platte, NE; sister-in-law Sharon and husband Doug Tatum of Grant, NE. Nieces; Amy Boldt, Taylor and Oscar of Grant, Andi and husband Michael Lee, Maddox and Tatum, of Grant, NE; nephew Joe Tatum and Jennifer Potts, Gabriel, Riggin, Rally, and Ryeker of Grant, NE; and family friend Colleen McDonald of Lincoln, NE.

Scott was preceded in death by grandparents, Gus and Pauline Fayman, V. L. and Helen Odvarka; parents Dr. Robert C. and Arlene M. Odvarka; brother Robert S. Odvarka; uncles, Art and Gus Fayman, and Ted Urbanek; aunt, Cleo Fayman; step-daughter, Joslyn Benstead; fathers-in-law Gerald Schroeder and Donald Kucera.

Funeral services were held May 26, 2017 in Lincoln, NE. Interment will be Saturday July 29, 2017 at 11 am at the Grant Fairview Cemetery.
