Rocky Leigh Lytle, 63, of Madrid, passed away on March 25, 2025, at the Perkins County Hospital.
Rocky was born February 22, 1962, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Rex and Joyce (Brooks) Lytle. After graduating from Coronado High School, Rocky worked in construction and lived in a variety of places, from California and Arizona to Colorado and Nebraska.
Rocky met Frances Perez while living in Buena Vista, Colo. They were married in Las Vegas on March 13, 2005, and eventually made their home in Grant in 2012. Rocky did construction work in and around the area before taking a position at Bomgaars, a job he truly enjoyed.
Rocky loved the outdoors and was happiest when surrounded by his grandchildren. He especially enjoyed hunting pheasants and fishing. He had a sweet tooth for peanut butter cups and a lighthearted spirit, always ready with a good-natured prank.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Lytle of Madrid; children, Devan Baker of Dana Point, Calif., Andrea Lytle of Buena Vista, and Alice Molina of Colorado, Jesse Alire, Ronald Alire, Eddie Alire, and Victoria Alire, all of Colorado; 24 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
A memorial book signing will be held Monday, March 31, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bullock-Long Funeral Home in Grant.
Rocky's cremation has taken place, and a private inurnment will be held at a later date in Colorado Springs.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Rocky's memory. Condolences may be shared at bullocklongfuneralhome.com.
