MILFORD "PETE" NODLINSKI, 103 of Grant, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Monday, March 29, 2021, at the Perkins County Community Hospital in Grant.
Milford was born December 1, 1917, at St. Paul, Nebraska, to Peter Paul and Bessie Agnes (Dvoracek) Nodlinski. He graduated from Perkins County High School with the class of 1933.
On August 16, 1938, Pete married Dorothy R. Stephenson at Grant, where they subsequently farmed and raised their four children, Richard, Terry, Vicki, and Bob. Pete was quite mechanically inclined, and in the winter months, would work on tractors in both the Grant and Brule areas. Pete was a duty-first kind of man and didn't complain. While he was never a man of leisure activities, he played an integral role in bringing about the football and baseball fields with his farming equipment. As time passed, Pete and Dorothy were blessed exponentially by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pete was a charter member of the Lions Club in Grant and was active for many years. He enjoyed a good game of pitch and polka music. In a different season of life, Pete and Dorothy even belonged to a club that would travel to the various dances in the area and enjoy themselves.
Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; a son, Terry; and his sisters, Helen Jarosz and Maxine Smith.
Survivors include his children, Richard (Marlene) Nodlinski of Folsom CA, Vicki (Curt) Bromm of Wahoo, Bob Nodlinski of Brule; daughter in law, Marsha Nodlinski of Yuma, AZ; grandchildren, Tracy, Tami, Cindi, Troy, Kristi, Jason, Jenefer, Jolin, Jina, Jaron, Tara, Tanya, Jenilee, and Jeff; great-grandchildren, Devon, Kristen, Tohnee, Kandace, Kasyn, Sydney, Sawyer, Sloan, Della, Izzy, Lydia, Ellie, Bailey, Cooper, Conner, Joseph, Anna, Elizabeth, Teresa, Peter, Emily, Jordin, Anslee, Raelee, Dallas, Augustus, Abigail, Jillian, Landon, Barrett, And Lucas; along with many other relatives and friends.
