MICHAEL D. KOSMICKI, 57 of Grant, NE, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Perkins County Community Hospital.
Mike was born January 5, 1958 at Grant, NE to Adolph and Violet (Hastings) Kosmicki. He farmed and ranched on the family farm south of Madrid for many years. He was married to Penny Jenkins (Lee) on January 6, 1979 and raised 4 children.
Mike loved sports and enjoyed coaching his children and many of their friends in baseball, basketball and wrestling. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and working with animals.
Mike is preceded in death by his father, Adolph "Bert" Kosmicki; infant daughter, Andra Faith Kosmicki; brother, Paul Kosmicki and sister Gladys Uliberri.
Survivors include his mother Violet Kosmicki of Grant, NE, 4 children Stephanie (Darryl) Mehnert of Brighton,CO; Levi (Sara) Kosmicki of Yoder, WY; Sandy (Chad) Shimp of Scottsbluff, NE and Riley Kosmicki of Oxford, NE as well as 5 grandchildren, Kaycee, Cole, Tripper, Brock and Makenna.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Grant with Father Tom Kuffel as Celebrant. Burial will be in the Grant Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Bullock-Long Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, at the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church.
