MARIE DAHLKOETTER, 94 of Lexington, formerly of Grant, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Lexington, NE.
Marie was born August 25, 1921 at Table, Nebraska to Guy and Ethel (Hill) Clark. She graduated from Gothenburg High School with the class of 1939. Marie worked at a munitions plant during WWII.
On June 25, 1943, Marie married Melvin E. Dahlkoetter at the Trinity Lutheran Church parsonage. The couple made their home in Lexington before moving to Grant in 1951. Their union was blessed with 3 children, Gary, Linda and Calvin. In 1970, Marie began working at the hospital as a dietary aide, a job she held until the mid 90�s, when she retired. In most recent years, Marie made her home at Park Avenue Estates in Lexington.
Marie enjoyed quilting, cooking and traveling. She was a long time member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and belonged to the Lutheran Women�s Missionary League as well as the ABC Extension Club.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; son, Gary; and brother, Cecil Clark.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Jerry) Eckhoff of Kearney; son, Calvin (Diane) Dahlkoetter of Grant; daughter-in-law, Carolyn (Dewey) Blanksma of WA; 5 grandchildren, Jeff Byrnes, Brady Byrnes, Cori Dahlkoetter, Shane Eckhoff, Robyn Hovseth; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Irene Johnson of Lexington; and a host of relatives and friends.

Services will be on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church southwest of Ogallala with Pastor Wayne Pick officiating. Burial will be in the Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at 2:30 PM CT. Visitation will be on Sunday, from 1-5 PM at the Bullock-Long Funeral Home.
