Kenny McCallum

Kenny Lee McCallum, 44, of Grant, Nebraska, passed away on March 24, 2025, in Bridgeport, Nebraska.

Kenny was born August 21, 1980, to Jack Skelcher and Dee McCallum in Omaha. He was raised in Wauneta, NE, with his mom and stepdad, Kelly McCallum. Kenny was a hardworking man who enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He was always a jokester, keeping all who loved him laughing.

On February 26, 2025, Kenny married Melonie Kirby-Bjork, and that union gained him a son, Phoenix Torres.

Kenny was a loving husband and father. Through all of life's ups and downs, he never stopped loving his children. He loved the outdoors and working on vehicles, especially big trucks. Kenny was always very proud and protective of his trucks.

Kenny was in his element when he could enjoy a red beer and a good time with his friends. He especially appreciated the close bond he made with the Gillette family: Jimmy, Holly, Tristan, and Raven. They became more like family than friends to him.

Survivors include his wife, Melonie McCallum, and his children, Phoenix Torres, Destiny Allbaugh, Sarah Allbaugh, Jeremiah, Tia, and Jazlyn with whom he was trying to build new relationships. He loved them all more than anything.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Grant E-Free Church with Pastor Russ Gaar officiating. A private interment of cremains will be held at a later date.
