John was a dedicated and hardworking man whose life was marked by service, family, and a passion for mechanics and the outdoors. Visitation will be held at Bullock-long Funeral Home in Grant from 10-11 A.M. on Monday, October 7, 2024, with graveside services taking place the same day at 2:00 P.M. in the Madrid Cemetery with full military honors. John attended high school in Wauneta before joining the Army in 1986, where he served until 1987. Together, they built the business into a cornerstone of the community, operating successfully for 31 years.
John was a man who loved his family deeply, especially his four beautiful grandchildren. Known affectionately as "Pop Pop," he cherished every moment spent with them. John had a warm heart and a generous spirit. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and anything to do with the outdoors. He was a simple man, not refined, but always kind and loving.
