Dwight "Red" Miller was born to Bryce and Dorothy (Reazin) Miller on February 22, 1943. Although he was born in California, he was raised in the great state of Kansas. He graduated from Kansas State with a Bachelor's Degree in too many things to mention. Red and Kathy (Smith) met and were married on July 11, 1981, in Denver, Colorado. They were blessed with their son, Sean, two years later, in 1983. The Millers were very active in the Aurora soccer community. Kathy and Red were one of the early residents of the Heritage Eagle Bend community, where Red was always available to help out neighbors with everything from plumbing repairs to golf cart maintenance. He may very well have been the best-known resident in the HEB community.
Red was the founder and President of Red's Wines and Spirits, Inc. He developed many friends and relationships throughout the industry, both in the US and internationally. In addition to his many business contacts, Red seemed to always know someone wherever he went, (including spending some quality time with Willie Nelson). He was an avid golfer, and the HEB community is dotted with many golf carts Red had touched in some way or another. Red also loved his music, which included most genres. One of Red's passions was riding one of his custom bicycles, often with his son, Sean. He logged many thousands of miles over the years, and occasionally competed in long-distance events. Red's life came to a tragic end on September 3, 2019, as a result of injuries sustained while riding his bike on August 12, 2019.
