CYRIL WILLARD MASTRE, 91 of Grant, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at the Golden Ours Convalescent Home in Grant.
Cyril was born September 20, 1927, at Grafton, North Dakota to Gustav and Alma (Amoth) Mastre. His education was in various places because his family moved often.
On November 14, 1948, Cyril married Lillie Mae Unruh, and their union was blessed with eight children. The couple made their home in Merced, California for a few years before returning to Idaho. In 1975, the family moved to Madrid, where Cyril farmed and later did carpenter work.
Cyril was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, three brothers; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
Cyril is survived by his wife, Lillie of Grant; children, Sandra (Richard) Justus of Bonners Ferry, ID, Gloria (Bruce) Peaster of Madrid, Judy (Carlos) Ensz of Bruneau, ID, Janette (Gordon) Ensz of Madrid, Denton (Sherry) Mastre of Grant, Arnold (Debbie) Mastre of Burns, OR, Charlene (John) Boehs of Madrid, Myron (Amy) Mastre of Bruneau, ID; 37 grandchildren; 106 great-grandchildren; three brothers; one sister; and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at the Golden Plains Mennonite Church west of Madrid. Burial will be in the Madrid Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Bullock-Long Funeral Home in Grant.
